My Reward

My Reward

I’d  like some one say thank you or kissed me rather than the world praise me as my reward.

Am I Not A Man?

Am I Not A Man?

“And I remember the lovely “mermaid” in her thin dress sleeping against her lover in the speedboat, while her thighs and legs so near me, teasing, invitingly showing. Am I not a man? I’m not just your husband you know? Yet I don’t hide this from you.” So said  Opa Johan.

On Judging

On Judging

“When you listen to music, never ask before, ‘who is the composer? Who is the conductor? Who is the soloist, what orchestra, ...’ Then after you’ve heard it you may ask. Otherwise you might be prejudiced.” So said the choir conductor to me.

And I thought of judging works, writings:

To send all articles to a news paper for publishing anonymously, so the editor can’t be prejudiced, scared, forced, fooled by a well known, great name.

When the editor thinks it is good, he calls the author to reveal his identity and publishes it.

To also send an anonymous work for a competition with anonymous nominators. After it was chosen as the winners, the authors may reveal themselves. It would be good and it must be possible if we could make something like that for winning a Prize, the Nobel Prize for literature, science, peace, ...

That’s what I call true, unprejudiced judging. The small, unknown could vie with the great and well known. Except the jury are poor judges, can’t judge and have to depend on the judgement of the nominators.

Yet, I don’t believe this will change soon in the near future. No courage, no imagination. Do you remember the law of inertia i.e. reluctance to change? Not only unprejudiced judging but also to keep the world population low by birth control, also have Volley Ball, Basket Ball classified according to height or stature. Unless we want to stay fools and be fooled for yet another thousand years. Ha. Ha.

Whom Did They Marry?

     Whom Did They Marry?

And I imagined the children, grandchildren of Adam and Eve living up to more than nine hundred years. Whom did they marry? And it is said that the women were so beautiful, no man ever,  not even the sons of God, could resist.

And I picture him, i.e. man, loving her, even as her brother, as her father, her grandfather, or loving her even as his  sister, as his mother, his grandmother, ... Can you picture it, grasp it? Marry his irresistibly still beautiful grandma?  Ha-ha.

Did that ever occur to you?” said Opa Johan to his wife.

What Honor

What Honor
I can’t get it, how is it possible, it is almost incredible that bloggers with so many  “likers” could ever like a simple blog with so few “likers” as mine? What honor.

In Praise Of Genius

In Praise Of Genius
“I remember once having read in a news paper something like this, you know?” So said Opa Johan to his wife.
At 5 he got his PhD summa cum laude, at 7 he lectured post graduates of Oxford at 10 he had written a thousand scientific books, he had more than 12 disciples. Hailed, praised, so adored, worshipped by the whole world, professors kneeled before him, he was so famous, so well known, more than the Bible. Ha. Ha.
“Would you adore, marry him?” Opa Johan whispered ,“or me?”
“What? Marry him? Who would? He is a computer, a caricature. He awfully stinks after his intellect and fame but don’t you get conceited, you Scarecrow.” So she said.

My Picnic In Pantai Indah Kapuk

Pantai Indah Kapuk Drain

What delight.

The water so near, just before your feet, you could step on it, touch it,  sitting beneath a shady “bakau” wood, here and there someone fishing sitting patiently on a mat for hours, while I’m so happy, almost no one ever caught one. Ha. Ha. I watched some water birds flying, the rippling surface by the wind, the sky on the water, ... It was so serene and quite safe from ill doers.

That's Is A Grave Sin

That’s A Grave Sin

Foolish Sister

Don’t praise me. I have already praised myself till I’m worn out. Ha. Ha.

You certainly are extraordinary too. If you say  you are ordinary, stupid, that’s a very grave sin, you know?

Your brother, the very smart boaster.

So e mailed Opa Johan in reply of his “foolish sister” i.e. his fondle-, cuddle-name for her.

Am I Not A Smart Boaster?

Am I Not A Smart Boaster?

Were my readers thinking that my blog writings are just ordinary, poor writings, yet I insist that theyr’e good and beautiful. Should I not give only my best things, thoughts? I would be ashamed offering poor work, stuff, you know?

Later on, posthumous will I win a grand prize, otherwise, they aren’t able to read them or haven’t the courage to say “it’s beautiful”. Who dares to say something out of the Bible as “poor writings, poor thoughts”.

I. Ha. Ha.

I have the courage to praise myself.

Certainly am I very extraordinary, who, what isn’t so? It would be a shame, disgrace to the Creator  were they not so, you know?

Am I not a smart boaster? And so, therefore, what this is for, ... aren’t you my  foolish sister?

Can you still stand me? Ha. Ha.

That was Opa Johan’s e mail to his sister in Holland.

Wonderful Unnoticed Simple Things

There’re so many unnoticed wonderful simple things

as ants running

as a fisherman

as waving plumes

as a bushy tail waving

as a butterfly flying

as swallows flying

as shadow-play

as roots of a tree

or as glowing charcoal, or the rising smoke of a burning joss stick ... Click anywhere on the playing screen and you get a still picture, click again and the play goes on.

There's a lot of wonderful unnoticed simple things as long as  I keep my eyes, my ears, my senses, my heart open.

The Lucky Young Man

Princess Diana

The Lucky Young Man

How brave he was to ask whether he might kiss her  and she, princess Diana granted it him. How lucky, fortunate he was as she offered him her cheeks. That’s like a heavenly boon, while gentlemen, lords, presidents, kings may only kiss her hands. This is an old picture from a news paper  some 17 years ago.

Dalai Lama

And this is the Dalai Lama and Carla Bruni, Sarkozy’s beautiful wife in France four years ago. It’s amazing that he didn’t lose his wits.

I thought to better shoot these poor old pictures again and upload it in my blog, rather than be lost forever.

Thanks to the photographers who shot it, the media who published it.
