A soft cricket’s chirping: “Avoid War instead of saving its victims.” wouldn’t ever be heard, wouldn’t ever be heeded. Suppose there was a stupid command by a president or statesman to preemptive war, it would be heard, obeyed and carried out.


A Cricket’s Comment On Wedding

Humans who are regarded as wiser have to remember their marriage with a copper, silver, golden wedding as Indonesians say. The birds celebrate their wedding every day without having to remember it.


A cricket’s Caution

At last he believes what his admirers say of him and the higher he thinks of himself will he fall the harder back to the earth.
