Scraps Of Beauty In My Workshop

Scraps Of Beauty In My Workshop

Skip, don’t read, unless you are also an amateur, especially an old ager, who loves singing. Just listening is enough.

I don’t need to visit a concert-hall to find beauty. I can find, hear scraps of beauty in my workshop, during our - old agers - vocal exercizes.

Though certainly not perfect, still rough, a bit out of tune, yet there are some wonderful lines in it, I can’t but fall in love with them. This is “Londonderry Air”. I intentionally have them sing slowly to enjoy their voice, feeling. Both are wonderful in their own way.

This is the younger singing, “Drink To Me Only With Thine Eyes”. A very early, poor recording with my i Pad.

And this is her old father, aged 81 singing “Amazing Grace”.

I would very regret were they lost.

So said the Choir Conductor.
