You Have No Talent?

You Have No Talent?

Sure, it’s feeling great, when you’re blessed, chosen, being called talented.

“But don’t you be conceited,” I warned myself, “as though you’re more, greater than others who haven’t. Have they no feeling, no dignity, no talent?”

Besides, what honor is there were a very talented child performs a piano recital in the Carnegie Hall Of Fame as it does not take him the trouble to exercize, prepare, as I think of someone as Mozart or a squirrel who runs, jumps, climbs in trees effortless? But were a mute, deaf man can so exercize himself till he can make a speech and sing that’s worth more than a standing ovation. Praise to his teachers.

I think, Man is immeasurable, infinite. Were a man to have “no” talent, yet, if he has a thousand years to learn to compose as Mozart, or to learn the relativity theory of Einstein, he could be their equal.

So thinks Pak Arif.

Money Can’t Measure Enjoyment And Suffering

Money Can’t Measure Enjoyment And Suffering
Enjoyment and suffering is far more than the worth in money, you know? Money can’t measure them. What we enjoy is so cheap despite it’s price  and the suffering so high, more than the money we offer, pay, sacrifice. That’s why. The economic theory is false, you little fool. Ha. Ha. So said Opa Johan to his wife.

Song Of Job Of This Age

Song Of Job Of This Age

Suffering severe stress for months, I succeeded to overcome without taking medicines.

I conquered my asthma  by exercizing regularly.

I controlled my cholesterol, diabetes with eating less sugar, fat,

My hypertension with eating less salt, exercises and exercize singing.

Walking stooped for many years as my legs were hurting, I chanced to cure them with bowing and standing straight up again.

I can still eat all what I want though having lost all my teeth. Why care to make me artificial teeth, except to show off. Yet there are still lovely women who cared to kiss a scarecrow like me.

I’ve freed myself from wearing glasses till over 80.

Do I need a cataract operation on my eye, while I can still very well see with the other that is still perfect?

Were I to become blind, can’t I walk anymore, then can I learn braille, walk with a stick and/or learn, exercize on a wheelchair.

Ha. Ha.

Why complain, lament?

What Punishment?

What Punishment?

“I don’t want them to be punished in jail. I want to repay them for what they did to me, to us and throw them with a chemical acid also to their bodies and faces.” So said one of the victims on the bus in Jakarta recently.

“Ask us first, were the death sentence ought to, should be abolished.” So said the murdered.

And I thought of the millions of cows, oxen, goats, pigs, chickens, ducks, ... that were slaughtered. “What punishment do you deserve, you wicked man, for what you did to us. What were our wrongs?”

“Ha. Ha. Your wrongs were that you’re very delicious eating.” So said Opa Johan to himself.

Delightful Forgetfulness Of Old Age

Delightful Forgetfulness Of Old Age

“Do you want some ice cream? I’ll take a spoon for you.”

                          ***

“Where is the ice cream? There was a lot in the box, yesterday in our fridge.”

“I don’t know? Then our son must have eaten it. Who else?”

But as I returned disappointed to the table, how happy I was, as there it was just beside my plate.

“Who put it there?”

“You, but forgot when you went away to  take a spoon for me, you blockhead.”

“What a delightful forgetfulness, you little fool. Ha. Ha. Let us enjoy.” So said Opa Johan to his wife.

Awet Muda

Awet Muda

“Just exercize biking, Pak?” She greeted on her way.

“Yes, Bu (mam), to keep healthy. You are also healthy Bu because you exercize every day by sweeping the street. That’s why you are, ‘awet muda’, i.e. ever looking young.”

“Ha. Ha.” she laughs happily since there were someone saying, congratulating her, she’s ‘awet muda’, though she might be as young as a woman having grand-children already. Now, for the first time perhaps, she realized, is grateful, proud having an honorable, not a humble, despicable job.
