Challenging Imagination

Challenging Imagination

Were I an architect, I’d design a Dream House of the future. Its floor, its walls, just guess … I fill with air. Small and light. You could easily carry it wherever you like just by decompressing and fold it. In case of a fire you could easily save your self or carry it away. In times of flood as at the time of Noah, the house becomes an ark. It can cope with earth quakes and there’s no danger from being destroyed as a vagrant’s illegal dwelling by government functionaries as you easily can run and carry it away. Transport and set it up as easily on land on camping, mountain areas as well as on a lake or river. You could save on truck-loads of cement and iron, save on trees being cut down, river-sand and boulders taken from the rivers and a lot more.

That’s what si Upik said.

And I thought of a car that is multi-purposed; the body folded would make it small, pulling the body as a match box it would be long, roomy and be used as a movable home; wheels drawn up into its body, the fan placed behind, the car becomes a motor boat; turning the fan upwards it becomes a helicopter, … More over, if the car could be run on just plain water, as I think of traffic jams, the huge need for BBM (fuel), pollution. Hail to our Indonesian engineers, while raising our reputation in the eyes of the world.

And what’s so challenging is that when we one day know the secret to regulate, minimize the earth’s gravity. - your weight in fact is nothing other than the force pulling you to the earth - then could you float, sail in the air as light as the clouds. Ha. Ha. That’s really great, wonderful.
