Cured From A Bad Custom
"Bi, (housemaid) you
break the Nangka branches which touches your face or hair, didn’t you? So tie and hang it up somewhere till it
doesn’t touch you anymore.” So said the wife of Opa Johan.
"How should I do it?”
“I don’t care how you
do it. If you can’t handle, you are not allowed to break that branch. Ask
permission if you want to, except your own trees, plants. Ha. Ha.”
So now Si Bibi is cured
from a bad custom of breaking branches, uprooting plants for unreasonal
reasons.
