Souvenir
From The Wimbledon 2012
“I watched in
close up, slow motion her beautiful eyes, eye lashes, her lips, her teeth, her nose, her dimple.
She’s tall and slender, so fair, you know. Watched
her natural poses, movements, her emotions, her eyes keenly set as to
prey, ... and I imagined the Venus statue coming slowly into life while watching
her for more than an hour without her being disturbed, offended. I didn’t
follow the play, I didn’t care to look at the tennis-ball. Am I not a man?”
“ ... ”
“And there’s
not just one, Azarenka. Serena is a black beauty, ... Now don’t you be jealous,
angry, rather than hide this from you. Aren’t you proud of your husband who is
still sensitive to feminine beauty? Ha. Ha. So now kiss me, you little fool. I
deserve it.” So teased Opa Johan his wife.
